Homewards

A 5.30 start this morning travelling to Evenes airport for the transfer to Oslo, and a last chance to savour the Lofoten landscape. We made the connection to Heathrow just in time and three hours later I was through border control had picked up my bag and was on my way to London. Had I known it would be so seamless I would have booked an earlier train. The advantage is that I’ve had the best part of 7 hours in London, several of them wandering around Regents Park, extra, and now I’m blipping and people watching outside Euston Station.

I’m returning to Glasgow on the Caledonian Sleeper (in a seat, not a cabin) as a bit of an experiment. If it’s OK, it will make travel to and from London so much more cost effective. And I should be home in time for Friday morning yoga.
