Busy Waddesdon

I have just spent at least half an hour of my life looking for my storage hard drive, when it was beside me all the time hiding under a magazine! I had scoured every drawer, likely and unlikely places etc etc. What a waste of time!

Today has been a busy day at Waddesdon where my job was with the handling collection giving visitors the opportunity to handle some of the items from the collection - well, examples that have been allowed to be available similar to the real objects. It includes a sample of the silk wall covering, a piece of an old chandelier and a flat iron. Everyone was very interested to get involved, especially children, so it was a good fun day and passed quickly.

I noticed a model of a new feature at Waddesdon, The Wedding Cake, on the table in the blue dining room. The real Cake is a big as a house, sited at the dairy and is becoming a popular feature for visitors.
