Echinacea

They are really pretty when they get to this stage - just a big boom of bloom.

G was allowed to come home today - she looked quite pleased about that.  Even more so that the laundry had all been folded, all the Katzenklos* were clean, the water bowls were full with clean water and 3 cats came to say "Hallo" - naturally my role as Dosenöffner** is now redundant.

My role as cook however is very much in demand.

Would you believe the first wish was porridge?  Served with sliced bananas, blueberries and a dollop of joghurt.  Tonight will be lentil soup with potatoes and chicken - it's more of an Autumn thing but the weather is so gloriously rainy and windy, that a warming soup is really a "Welcome Home - this is where you belong" dish.
