Looking for hobbys ..

I had a hospital appointment this morning - that wasn't much fun ..

Then I joined the afternoon bird group at a new reserve (to me), where we had been told there was likelihood of seeing hobbys. In fact our (expert) leader pointed at quite a lot of distant specks and told us they were hobbys. Okay. :|

Hobbys eat dragonflies and damselflies, so there were plenty of those to photograph.

After the class I stayed on for a while and was pleased to get this preening whitethroat .. and this gorgeous comfrey - and I very nearly blipped these gorgeous Soay lambs .. but changed my mind at the last minute .. indecision is a terrible curse!
