Claire and Casper

My cousin and her son arrived for a late lunch of carrot soup and sun dried tomato bread. They’d spent last night camping in a sleeping pod in Hawkshead. It was really lovely to see them. We chatted for ages.

I took them round the Tarn. Casper enjoyed the wooden sculptures, the ducks and the playground.

I made a massive Toad in the Hole for dinner and served it with braised spiced red cabbage.
