Today I have explained for a beginner how a sewing machine works. And since she doesn't know much Swedish, I had to do this in English. We went through all the different stitches, how to thread the machine and the sewing part, it took about one and a half hour. Thankfully I could use a lot of hand gestures and showing how to, rather then explaining how to. That saved me, I think. And to have a breather when I went to get more tea... :)
The last 10-15 minutes I helped a, well I think I can call him a friend by now, with a bit of Swedish grammar. I was thankful that it was someone who I know a bit, because I was a rather tired after all the sewing machine explaining. :D
I've also come to a decision. When my practice at the Red cross is over I will try to stay on as a volunteer at least one day in the week. I really need to continue this. My practice will continue for a while longer, I know that because they really want me to stay on and that I'm also thankful for. :)
Now I'm off to bed, so tired, and will get to your journals in the morning. :)
I'm not sure the quote is suitable for this photo, it's more suitable for my day I think. :)
