Now Fiddle Rock

A day off from Orienteering so we planned a woodland walk followed by a trip to the coast. The weather was overcast this morning but the clouds soon broke up and the sunshine returned.

A trip along the coast to Portknockie let us explore the more rocky coastline than the ones visited in the first few days. The photo is of Bow Fiddle Rock populated by a number of seabirds including Cormorants. Stevie discovered a number of dead birds which we wondered if they were the result of bird flu. However we tried he finally managed to grab one! He was of course delighted. It took a lot of persuasion and two of us to prise it out of his jaws!

Following which he had his first independent swim which he loved. Following all the excitement we journeyed onto Cullen for an ice cream before returning to Elgin.

A grand day out
