Teenage Mum
I was looking for photos to put on the booklet for mum for the service. I have a lovely one of her and dad for the back and thought would put this one too. On the front is one I took on her birthday last year. Some people never change in their lifetime and you can recognise them. Dad was that person and I think me too. But I think mum is in the category that you wouldn’t recognise her from then to now, even from a few years ago.
We have decided to have a collection lieu of flowers for the Erskine veterans charity as mum gave them a donation each Christmas . The connection with them is her Dad was in the Black Watch fighting in WW1. Yes, she died of pancreatic cancer but we didn’t really use the services of the Macmillan etc so figured this would be the best fit.
News from Chorley from Ben at the scout camp. Not exactly from him as they weren’t allowed their mobile phones but there is a F b page with news of the camp. They were at Blackpool pleasure beach today . Not sure yet if the mud situation but will hear more I am sure…..
News from Korea. It’s got windy so hopefully drying up the place. The opening ceremony is tomorrow. It’s hard to think of Cameron on the other side of the world!
Met Lorraine the events organiser at the complex. Bert Mum’s next door neighbour isn’t too well. Suspected cancer. He was also living there just shy of 17 years. Two longest residents. Met mums friend Zina . She said she still speaks to mum and she went for a wee jaunt round the block on Sunday just what mum and her used to do with the walkers.
Laura and Dave came up at night. Good old chat.
