Tins and Chairman Mal

The sorting out of the garage attic continues, making good progress but there's a lot of it!
Three boxes of children's books have been compiled into piles by Marlane. Four bags to the charity shop, some to be checked out by family and some, of course, for the tip. The tip ones are damaged, written/scribbled in etc.

Two boxes, full of tins, brought down so Marlane can see if there's any she'd like to keep. The rest will be offered to a packaging museum, which used to be based in Gloucester.
Some of the tins still have the contents inside. Silver Jubilee Colmans Mustard, Savon AnaisAnais soap, Van Houten Cocoa (seal not even broken, and Ridgways loose tea 'Her Majesty's Blend'.
My favourite tin is the 'NAAFI Blend Tea' - for those that may not know NAAFI stands for Navy Army Air Force Institute. They usually had a shop on bases, along with a cafe, possibly a bar and other facilities for the relaxation of troops.

One tin contained a few coupons of varying types and another a business card of Marlane's when she ran the British Community Ladies group, hence the Chairman (Mao) Mal, in the title HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
