An old photo

I didn't take any photos today so I uploaded a memory.  It was taken in September 2022.  Pickle passed away on 12th February this year, 2 days before his 15th birthday.  He has a long and happy life but I miss him terribly. He was part of our family for 12 years as he came to us from the RSPCA when he was 3.  I love this photo as it is also of me pre diagnosis and happy. 

Anyway, my surgery is done.  I have had a bilateral mascetomy with flat closure and full lymph node clearance on one side.  I have been an emotional wreck all day but let's put that down to the drugs and stress of the day. I am quite comfortable, no significant pain due to some slow release pain killers and IV paracetamol.  I plan to be braver tomorrow and have ordered a full (veggie) English breakfast for the morning!  Feeling grateful to have got through surgery and be feeling OK but also feeling very anxious which I know will pass.
