Unfurling

It's been a brilliant day; warm, sunny with a pleasant gentle breeze. Just what an early June day should be. And we had a superb walk which encompassed woodland, crags, heathland, farmland, meadows, narrow tracks and wide paths, some of them forming part of the Transpennine Trail and wonderful views. The countryside is greening up wonderfully. The early spring flowers and the later spring flowers are jostling for position. The swifts, swallows and finally house martins are hard at work catching flies over the meadows and fields. The Heath we walked on is the home for green tiger beetles. We saw quite a few and I got some photos, but none I was really happy with, so my blip is an image of bracken unfurling.
