Butternut squash

I don't usually do well with butternut squash but this year, I have 3 relatively healthy plants which are flowering, including this one.

My friend a few plots down always grows them up 2 fan trellises, I've kind of copied him but adapted with what I had on the plot. And popped a few sweet pea plants at the base for good measure.

Obviously I've had to put branches in case the muntjacs are tempted by a nibble. Let's see what happens in the next few weeks.
