Mary Quant
Hubby had a dental appointment in Glasgow this morning. The road was closed at Blanefield (it’s been reported that a man was hit by a bus late last night and sadly died). So a detour was required but he got there in time. While he was there I went for a coffee to wait for him. Confusion ensued and he thought I was in another cafe. Luckily we were reunited as we had tickets for the Mary Quant exhibition at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery. Thoroughly enjoyable and good to observe the ‘home made’ appearance of the first garments made by her, by hand and in comparison the later garments that were factory made.
Then went upstairs to see Salvador Dali’s Christ of St John of the Cross before it goes on loan to Spain.(No visit to the gallery is complete without seeing it).
