Champagne gelati

A lazy breakfast at home then we headed out. We dropped father and son at the Colosseum and P and I wandered around the ruins. Layer upon layer of history - so interesting. Every direction you looked there was something to see and you need so much time to take it all in. Lunch was in a nearby salad restaurant then we walked to Piazza Navona to admire the three fountains and we stopped in the church there. We walked past the Pantheon and onto a traditional famous gelateria. Champagne gelato - delicious! We made our way home and collapsed on the sofa! Only 12,000 steps today, yesterday was 18,000.
I think I appreciate the history more now than I did 20 years ago.
