A day in the life

The long walk

My visitors, Monika and Allan had a long, lovely walk through several varied types of nature today, I'm afraid I don't know the names of them, mixed forest, open fields with cows, dried up marshland, hazel-forest, Alvar, cultivated cornfields... We ended up at Ölands biggest fortress, build somewhere in 400-500 AD during the viking age. This christian chapel was built during the 1300s but has been a ruin for a long time. 9 kilometres! My left foot could really feel it, I've had problems with an inflammation under my foot for some time, but we had a fabulous walk.

The evening was ended with the most delicious grilled salmon I've ever tasted, I think.
