Butterfly on the Golden Rod

Despite the gloom there were a lot of insects on this patch of  the Golden Rod. I've no idea what the butterfly is called, but no matter.  I rather liked this scene. I haven't photographed many butterflies so far this year.

On checking online I think it might be a Meadow Brown, but who knows.
I'm now reliably informed it is a Gatekeeper.
