on my last legs (or this could be the last time)

The building work in the house has been done now - one doorway blocked up and a new one created.  As a result we now have extra space in our kitchen.  I decided to fit some new kitchen units myself.  Not as easy as it used to be.

In our previous house I installed all the kitchen units, worktops, appliances and so on, myself.  But I was so much younger then, I'm older than that now.

I don't think I'll be doing this again. And Anniemay has hung up her stepladder and paint brushes for good.  

After fitting the legs, my lovely assistant helped me turn the units the right way up and secure them to the wall.  And now I need a lie down.  And a beer.
