Coming up roses

This rose bush flowers every year without fail, no matter how far I prune it back or at what time of year. One year, it even flowered twice: once at the beginning of summer, once at the end. It's always a straggly-looking thing - perhaps I should prune it as it grows to encourage branching - but it produces beautiful big flowers nevertheless.
