I was on the top of the world today!
Well that's what it felt like! We started our Nordic Walk in the village of Everdon and climbed gradually at first then up the really steep (and long) road up to Mantles Heath. We really used our arms and poles to get up there and were rewarded by this amazing view. I should have done a 360 panorama but I took a few shots, this panorama and had a drink! We were then off down the hill you see in the pic back to the village.
It doesn't show up awfully well, but there was a field full of pink Campion - to the right of the lone tree next to a paler field. I don't know why this had been planted but it made a lovely change from the green and yellow. I shall put a pic on Flickr later (it's already on Instagram).
Endomondo tracked the route as 4.37 miles in 1 hour, 24 mins. We had a few drink stops and photo stops but the pace was pretty fast when we were going!
I had a second walk this afternoon - it was too nice to stay at home! 3.24 miles.
Slightly weary now, but in a good way! Jacuzzi bath beckons I think.. :-)
