Mellington Hall

Blipped before, this magnificent stately home is going to be the venue for a Jaguar car show later in the year.

I have acted as an intermediary between the management at the hall, and the organisers of the show. 

A nice run out and all preparations done, I returned home to a nightmare. 

We had a gas leak. 

My wife had phoned for an engineer and it was treated as an emergency. 

£400 later we are safe. New pipework and upgraded fittings successfully installed we can rest easy. But there was much digging, a lot of mess and the engineer did not finish until 10.30pm.

Darkness has descended, but we are gas safe. 

Tomorrow we attempt a clean up and hopefully take Hollie dog for a walk. She has not been out today. 

Very tired, expect we will sleep ok tonight!
