Gunpowder Potatoes
Today we saw the last crop of spuds from our bag of potatoes that we started growing back in early March.
We only filled two bags this year, next year we've already been contemplating at least 8-10 bags for the garden given the success we've had from just two bags this year.
The new greenhouse proved to be an ideal spot to store them on one side providing shelter for the bags whilst it also prevented the dogs from running into the glass something that they have previous history for doing.
Whilst it was our last crop of spuds we decided to make a favourite of ours, gunpowder potatoes to go with a curry tonight. Anyone who's ever eaten at Dishoom will probably have ordered the gunpowder potatoes and know what I'm referring to. If you haven't if you Google it the recipe will appear, very easy to make. Our chillies also came in handy for the recipe although going by my wife's reaction to them tonight I think she'll need to build up a tolerance to them.
The potatoes and curry were a good way to round off a busy Saturday after working at the rugby at Murrayfield during the day.
