Dahlia

My youngest daughter gave me this beautiful dahlia two Christmases ago and this is its first flower this year.. delighted it survived the winter ok as I have lost quite a few sadly. I wish I could remember the name of it and it remains to be seen if something starts to eat the white bits of the petals which is what happened to every flower last year.  I have no idea what would nibble the tips off every one but for now it looks glorious!
It has been a nice day, a bit blowy but warm. The grass mown and the books gone to the charity shop the house feels better
Husband went to see Oppenheimer.. I didn't want to see it. He enjoyed it
