Day17 Hitra

We departed from our friends house after a last breakfast together. The weather forecast looked good north east of Trondheim, so we headed to Hitra Island. The island has apparently the deepest road tunnel in th world, it goes down over 280 m then comes up. It is steep and has a speed camera at the bottom!
It was about 5pm when we got there, and didn’t fancy the first campsite that we found, so carried on to a place where you could put up the tent, ring the number and give them 200 kt, through the letterbox. It was this place just for us, with an amazing view of the mountains. We cooked a really nice spaghetti with salmon and mushroom sauce, then went for a walk up the hill behind the camp. We really were the only people around in the evening. The sun went down at just after 11pm, had a fab nights sleep, the sound of the gentle sea and the oyster catchers to set me off.
