In the news..

This was a scary segment on the news last night. Some hikers got caught up a mountain hike by a fast starting and moving fire.  They were rescued by a commercial tour helicopter .
There are about 425 fires burning in our Province of BC with about 1/2 half of them 'out of control'.


The closest fire to us is about 200K northeast of Kelowna.

BTW..we are driving to Vancouver mid afternoon to catch the red-eye to Montreal, Quebec. We are travelling with our Grandson Nash and his parents as he will be playing in the Under 17 National Basketball Championships. There will be a team representing every province.
