The Kelpies

We had a wee trip over Falkirk way today to see Andy Scott's Kelpies.  The Helix Park was very busy, and lots of tourists there and seemed to be enjoying the spectacle.

But before we went there we visited the Falkirk Wheel.  Bob wandered around the main area watching the boats go up and down (Extra 2), but I opted to walk up to the Rough Castle Tunnel, and went through it and on to the first lock.  There was a boat going through and it is always interesting to watch so I stood with others for a while spectating.  (Extra 1).

The rain stayed off for most of the afternoon although the forecast had not been too good.
