My head hurts

The new pier takes shape. I've studied the many books I have on Scottish piers - yes there is such a series! - and I think I've captured the basic structure of them. There hardly seems to be two the same but it resembles the one at Ellenabeich. It's just visible, what's left of it, on the far right of the backdrop. Still much work to do on it, decking, weathering, distressing, painting....

I was toying with the idea of making the pier like the one in the Maggie film 'til I read that it was a total fabrication built as a set - as was the Morar Bar - and filmed down at Crinan.

There's no where to put it yet, that's part of the bigger plan for a new village along the road from Port Appin.
