Decoration

Just beyond the corner of our back garden lies a Jubilee stone, a Ham stone, next to a bench under a spreading oak tree.  Each of us in the vicinity does a bit to  keep it tidy, and someone has planted a couple of sunflowers, one of which has bloomed.

Its colour was so appropriate for its position in front of the golden Ham stone that I had to grab a shot.  It was put here, I understand,  by the family who own the quarry on Ham Hill, the family of P J Harvey, who live in the village.  P J's mother came and scrubbed the lettering last year to bring it up again, inspiring me to do the same with the Ham stone outside our own house.
