And so it begins......

Another mixed day.
Rain first thing just to make things wet again.
We headed off mid morning to collect Littlemiss and her pal from the airport . They flew home from Prague after a month inter railing round Europe. Think they have had a ball,but are glad to be home. A trip into town for a quick bite to eat and drop off said pal,then back home. I think everyone in Edinburgh must head home early on a Friday cos the traffic was terrible.
Any way,back home by 2 pm,quick change back into work rags and jumped onto the tractor and baler to bale up the grass I mowed on Wednesday night. The sun was out and a breeze so it wasn't as wet as I thought it would be. Had it all done by 7 pm,left wee brother wrapping bales and headed off down the road to feed the heifers.
Just finished that when I got a text to say the farm next door had started cutting winter barley . So home via there to see what was happening. We get the straw,but it was too raw to bale tonight ,so left it until tomorrow. It might turn out that raw is better than soaking wet,but we live in hope that the weather is going to improve. We shall see.
