Cut and Run

Had to do my exercise after an early Teams call this morning as I woke later than usual, but pleased to find my sore throat seems to have cleared.
As I was having breakfast V texted and we decided to meet up this morning, and ended up over coffee and scones at Sterling’s talking non stop for more than two hours! Good to catch up
Dashed home for a quick bit of lunch before walking down to catch the train to Glasgow. LE joined at Haymarket and we chatted all the way across. We arrived just in time for our booking for the Banksy exhibition and enjoyed talking to the young attendant about the custom traffic cone earring they were wearing…apparently a special gift from Banksy to each of the staff. It was an interesting exhibition, and good to see just how intricate the stencils are that are used, as well as the story behind a number of the artworks and how they were done. Just the right number of people there to feel buzzy but not crowded. Although our cameras were all locked away they had attendants taking Polaroids on demand for people to take away which was fun.
From there I took her to see RCS then we caught the tube up to Hillhead and went for an early supper at Shucks, stopping for a drink in the late afternoon sun on the way. A dull day had become warm and sunny for a change! Dinner was tasty…delicious romesco sauce with my halibut….then we headed home. I’d just pointed out where Laura lives when we came round the corner and bumped into her on her way home from Oppenheimer and, earlier, the Banksy exhibition…coincidence!
We just missed one train and we’re feeling tired by the time we got on the next one but we’d had a lovely time and it was a good day.
