Island fields

I mowed the fields at my grandparents home today. The fields were purple with Ruellia. Ruellia is a popular ornamental plant also known as wild petunia or Mexican petunia named for Jean Ruelle 1474-1537. Now that it is all mowed I wish I had dug up a few...maybe next time...
