Friday: Cyclamen and …
… Anemone japonica are autumn flowering plants, the seasons are as confused as the weather!
A dull, grey start to the day but clouds soon cleared and we had a fine warm morning.
I decided to clear my very overgrown deep bed behind the garage - mostly strawberry runners which had taken over much of bed, pulled up and added to the compost tubs. Once the ground was cleared I planted Field Beans - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2926383 and Forage Peas - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2330017913802591993 , both of these crops will provide flowers for the pollinators and all being well maybe something for us to eat too! :-))
Whilst I was pottering in the garden yesterday I noticed a cyclamen flower, I commented on its earliness last year - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3004108203173610236 - but it’s even earlier this year!! Today I noticed the Japanese anemone … is it Autumn already?
MrD on deliveries all day, when he got home he decided to cut the grass at the front of our house, the orchids have finished flowering and hopefully we’ll see them again next Spring :-)
Enjoy your Friday night everyone and I wish you all a very relaxing weekend XXXX XXX XX
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
