Weaver's Fritillary
For once, I am reasonably confident about the identification of this one. Named after Richard Weaver who collected the original specimen in 1820 near Birmingham, it is however controversial as the species has always been rare if non-existent in the UK.
Another quiet day otherwise at home with the offspring heading to a variety of rivers. The Sablieres market and bar did ensure we left the house at some stage.
