Additional officers out in Aberdeen
An additional 40 officers hit the streets of Aberdeen on Friday night/Saturday morning as part of a Police Scotland campaign to crackdown on violence.
Teams of officers were involved in high visibility operations within designated areas of the city including Belmont Street, Union Street and Torry, Seaton and Tillydrone on Friday 31 May/Saturday 1 June.
Scores of people passed through a mobile metal detector arch in the city centre with more than 30 people searched. Drugs were found on three people and one person was found to be carrying alcohol. Spot checks were also carried out on 20 licensed premises.
Two people received a fixed penalty notice for street drinking and a further two for urinating in the street.
