Waiting for the verdict

My novel, Heronsburgh 1965 is currently with Kevin MacNeil, my writing mentor. His task is to read the whole manuscript and report back to me. In this situation you wonder: have I written a work of genius or a load of trollop? Probably neither. Kevin is a kind man and I suspect that he will tell me many of the things he likes about it, and then give me some pointers as to how it can be improved. After this I don’t know if I will ever attempt to write a novel again. It's like trying to build a harpsichord from an Ikea instruction leaflet.

I couldn’t find a picture of Heronsburgh so I thought a picture of Helensburgh might do.
