Fuchsia

It was an intense day of thunderstorms, heavy rain with hail at times, and then the sun drifting in and out making me search for the rainbows, never to be found. I especially enjoyed sitting on the covered porch in the rocker watching the storm while staying dry, feeling the breeze fluctuate with the blackened clouds passing overhead. All I heard was the rain and the birds, who would from time to time streak across the yard looking for better cover. It had been a long time since I witnessed such peace.

This fuchsia hangs from the porch roof adding more color to the garden. It is one of my favorite plants. So long ago, we had them hanging everywhere under a big outdoor shelter where I married my sweetheart.
