Horse chorus

You leave the hubbub of the Refugio early morning as everyone is preparing to leave. Five minutes walking and you’re into the sounds of silence. No wind, a bird chirping, a distant stream or cowbells. Today was my last mountain day and magical - beautiful scenery, lots of horses with bells as well as the cows, a close encounter with a marmot family. And to round it off, the eco Refugio is tiny and delightful. I had a solar shower in the sunshine in the forest before relaxing. There’s just me and two young guys stopping tonight.
