Giffords Circus

We went on our annual outing to Giffords Circus this afternoon and, as always, it didn't disappoint.  Great acts and Tweedy the Clown (not a normal circus clown I'm pleased to say) was as funny as ever and had everyone in stitches - both the adults and the kids!  One always leaves the performance grinning from ear to ear and with a nice sense of well being.  Took a quick snap of the stage hands at the beginning of the show.

A little bit of info about Giffords Circus from Wikipedia:

Giffords Circus is a traditional English circus that tours the Cotswolds every summer.[1] As of 2022 it is also performing at Chiswick House.[1]
Established in 2000, Giffords Circus is a small circus company, founded by Nell and Toti Gifford,[2] that tours market towns of the Southwest. When not on the road, the founders concentrated on landscape architecture.[citation needed]
Nell Gifford was the sister of designer Emma Bridgewater and journalist Clover Stroud.[3][4] She died on 8 December 2019, aged 46, from cancer.[5] The circus is now managed by her niece Lil Rice.[6][7] and has been directed for the last 11 years by Cal McCrystal.[8]
Performers come from many different countries, but one regular is Tweedy the Clown[9] (Alan Digweed) who was awarded the British Empire Medal in the 2023 New Year Honours list.[10][11]
