Something fishy?

The hard winter and two weeks of ice cover played havoc with our pond fish. I reckon we lost at least a dozen maybe more and some fairly big ones amongst them. We have three red, three white and four five brown.
However if you sit patiently there are another six at least little brown ones about 3cm long and we have even seen a few ‘tin-tacks’ less than 2cm long.
We could be having a population recovery provided the heron, egret, alleged otter and rarely seen kingfisher don’t get them first.’
