Asparagus summer feed

With the heatwave last summer, there was no way I could get the soil in the asparagus beds moist enough to give the plants their summer liquid feed. 

But it's certainly not been an issue this year! I've made my own comfrey and banana peel fertiliser so that's the liquid feed the asparagus have enjoyed this year. I used to do seaweed, it'll be interesting to see what works best - shop bought or homemade!
