St James Square
Now faces on to the St James Quarter shopping mall; was being a quiet space for builders sitting on steps eating lunch, and other locals keeping out of the flow of foot traffic.
Rained hard all morning; went out to the quarter for a quick survey for a replacement backpack; looking for about 30l size, not a rolltop, for train journeys where wheels are inconvenient.
Out later in the afternoon when it was partly sunny; tram to Leith Walk, through by the Restalrig railway path to Seafield then to Portobello. Tea and icecream by the sea, return by no 26 bus.
