Unhappy dog

We failed to get a flea collar between my arrival in the Ardeche and our return from Spain. Somewhere along the line, Ruadh picked up a load of fleas - the suspects are the neighbours almost wild cats.. 
As a result she has scratched herself raw and so had to visit the vets who injected her, provided some ointment and, most annoyingly from Ruadh's ppoint of view, put on the dreaded collar. Now all we seem to hear in the house is the clatter of the plastic collar hitting furniture.
