IT overload

My s-i-l bought a new Chromebook which I was setting up this morning. It is such a simple task and should have taken less than an hour to get it going and run through the basics with her. However, I couldn't get it to connect to the internet. It would connect to the router but not go online except as a guest account. After much googling and messing about I managed to get it to work. I found lots of people posting the same problem but no-one with a solution. Although I was happy I got it working in the end it left me feeling dissatisfied as I don't know how I solved it.

This evening I've spent on my own machine creating curling material. Tomorrow will be an IT free day.
