Man at work

The sandstone boundary wall between our garden and the little lane on the other side was built in 1903 and so it needs periodic upkeep. The other side was becoming in need of pointing so I contacted the solicitor who acts for the estate of the old man with title to the lane side and he asked me to arrange to have it done as the man’s daughters live in England.

Here is Alan who is an expert and client/ friend who has done work on my side and last year he took the time to teach me to do pointing - as a novice it is a slow but very satisfying job. I must do more before the winter frosts arrive if I can get the time.
