Ile de Ré

Mostly as I remember it.  We drove today across a very windy bridge.  The whole day was windy but nice and warm.  Low tide and high winds make it not very attractive for swimming. We sauntered around La Flotte before heading the La Phare de Baleines; possibly one of the most beautiful lighthouses I have come across.  
We dined close by to let all the traffic disappear.  We got back to la Rochelle before last light (see extra) and had a night cap at a very lovely wine bar.  
We have made some arrangments to meet friends on Thursday and Saturday.
