Last lunch

I started the day with really sad news which upset me for a couple of hours. My friend J did a week ago in Mornington. If known her for nearly 53 years since we worked together in Bowater-Scott in Box Hill, Vic. She was nearly 98 and it was a peaceful end and I am so glad I saw her in January 2020. Still sad though.

The other blow was that D has twisted his knee, his miniscus. He now has a brace on and find moving hard. Great when he's a support for mum.

It was overcast and much cooler this morning. A good day to go for a long lunch. We went to Ribes, up in the hills, a very twisty road. At the end we said goodbye to N, D and O who were heading off to Marseillan.

We came back to a man striking next door. The sky cleared and I had a last swim. The was a difficulty with mum. She just finds moving around so hard and I'm not tall enough to help her.

A last meal on the terrasse but it was windy so upstairs to watch some TV and then bed. We're up de très bonne heure tomorrow.
