Who’s boss of this bridge?

The white goat jumped off so the darker, and bigger, one got to walk across the planks!
Goats are very playful and also fairly status conscious. The big goat gets to choose the highest spot if he (usually a he) wants but two smaller goats were competing for that spot and he left them to it.
These goats are representative of an old breed that was spread across the whole of northern Sweden 150 years ago. Small, tough and able to survive the winter on a much sparser diet than the mountain cows they shared space with.
Did I mention yesterday that this place where we are practicing TaiChi is also an open-air museum with its own summer farm.
Many years ago we had friends who owned a herd of goats. The goats were so full of character and if we took a walk in the forest they would come with us. I was very sorry when our friends moved on, and not just because our source of delicious cheese and meat and interesting walks moved on with them.
TaiChi was hard work, as the first day always is. There is much to think about as we train, refining our practice, even though we’ve been doing these movements for many years. There is always a deeper level to reach!
