Comma butterfly

The sun came out after lunch and I decided to go out and do a bit of gardening. As I set foot in the garden a flash of orange went past. I quickly grabbed my phone from my pocket and was lucky to get a few shots as the butterfly rested on the buddleia for a few seconds before being blown off again by the wind. I was delighted to find that it was a Comma! I have never seen one before apart from in other people’s photos, so was very happy to have one in the garden. This shot was the best of the bunch and part of it’s wing is out of shot but nevertheless, it’s a blip I am happy to have!
