Meet Grumpy, the Baby Robin

Meet Grumpy! Grumpy is a baby robin that has just been kicked out of the nest, and Grumpy is none too happy about it. On the Standard Grumpiness Scale, this one is off the charts: 12 out of 10 for pure grumpitude!

This was the scene on our front porch steps. The adult robins, of course, made all kinds of noise around the steps, and so we avoided that area so as not to stress out the wee birdie or its parents.

I called the little bird Grumpy, but it could have been just about any of the other Seven Dwarves: Doc, Sleepy, Dopey, Happy, Bashful or Sneezy. It lingered for about 15 minutes, then moved on. Time for independence, little birdie, like it or not!
