6.30 a.m. on the ward

A tired nurse comes towards the end of a busy shift.  I was fortunate and slept quite a lot; others weren't so lucky.
Later the doctors came round and confirmed that all went well with the operation. Sone adhesions were cleared; they had probably developed bit by bit since 2017, when I had a hysterectomy. Apparently abdominal surgery can leave you susceptible to this.
Overall, good news: I can start drinking water, can start moving gently with help and might be out by the weekend.
Thank you for stars, hearts and many words of encouragement. It really helps. I'll catch up with you all, little by little.
