Backswimmer

Well, at least I think it's a backswimmer in my pond. I do like how photography lets you see things all around you in much better detail. Another wet and cold morning, only reaching 14C by midday, so I did some admin this morning - I'm way behind after all the tennis watching in the last 6 weeks. Fortunately the rain stopped just before I walked into town to go to the first of 5 lunchtime concerts at St Andrews this week as part of the Holt Festival. St Andrews puts on some great concerts, free to attend although most people give an appropriate donation at the end. They have their own Music Director, who is currently the former Head of Music at Greshams private school in Holt, which has a big focus on music and the arts. Today's concert was an organ recital, given by the Music Director himself, it included one of my favourites - Nimrod. After the concert I went to the exhibition by the North Norfolk Photographic Society. As always, there were some excellent photos, both in print and in an AV presentation on a tv (my preference). I'm intending to re-join the club soon, although I don't do the competitions. Then I managed to do an hour of gardening when I got home.

A frustrating day trying to get a boiler service via my cover with Corgi. In brief, I was told when I took out the contract that I would be contacted about a boiler service in the Summer. I decided to chase them up. They said they had given the job out already to an engineer, but would chase him up. Later I got a text and voicemail telling me when my service would be - unsurprisingly that wasn't suitable, but I had no means of contacting them directly. Rang Corgi again, got cut off. Rang again, they would contact him again, I raised a complaint about their awful process. He rang me and we found a suitable date for both of us in about a minute - I'd spent an hour on the phone to Corgi!.
